Businesswoman Cat Tierney is one of the entrepreneurs behind a new business networking group that launched in Basildon.
The 4N Basildon Breakfast was held at The Quays, Festival Leisure Park, Pipps Hill Road, South Basildon, SS14 3WBon on Thursday, September 20 and started at 8am. The group continued to meet fortnightly, same time, same place.
The new group is part of the national organisation 4Networking (4N) which supports thousands of business owners across the UK at over 5,000 events a year and has 250 active groups in England, Wales and Scotland. It was established 12 years ago, and all members can visit any group at any time.
Cat, who runs her own consultancy, Absolutely PR, is the group leader.
She said: “Since starting my PR consultancy just over two years ago, 4N has proved very useful in helping to increase my client base.
“A great advantage of 4N is once you have decided to become a fully-fledged national member; you can attend any meetings regardless of where they are being held. This helps to create a bespoke network, extending across the UK, which will really help to drive your business forward.”
The speaker for the launch breakfast event was 4N’s chairman and development director, Terry Cooper, who gave an insight into his 48 years in sales and provided some useful tips for attendees to use in their own businesses.
Cat said: “Basildon, with its own strong business community, is a great location as a meeting venue for many Essex company owners.”
