On Wednesday the 5th of December, the most renowned businesses in the West Midlands area met under one roof as CBH hosted its inaugural networking event. The event was held at Walsall’s royal venue of Badshah Palace, an art décor building with a beautiful 1500’s essence fit for a king.
As the evening came to a start, guests were welcomed into the sophisticated décor of the open pan space. They were offered food and refreshments as well as their own personalised CBH name-badges, in-order to get the meet and greets off to an early start! The event not only featured the attendance of well-known names in the business sector, but the latest up and coming SMEs and start-ups, eager to build a profile for themselves in the Birmingham area. Already, the atmosphere in the room was one of warmth and hospitality, as business owners shook the hands of their local fellow entrepreneurs. They also dropped off exclusive deals and b2b offer pamphlets at each other’s tables in a hearty networking exchange.
In total, the CBH Networking Event saw the attendance of around 100 members and non-members, who were seeking the ideal platform to promote themselves in the marketing world. Visitors did not just attend from the West Midlands area, with some travelling as far as from Burton-on-Trent, Manchester, and even the capital of London. The prestigious event was sponsored by the big brands in business such as the NHS, Subway, West Midlands Safari Park, Property Observer, VS and ISL. There was also live television coverage from the A1 TV Channel and Sky 779, which was broadcast to viewers all over the country as the event took place.
The event was in full-swing as formal host Shukeel Cohan introduced the CBH sponsors – Aksar Khan from Subway enterprises and Ravi Sandhu from Integrating Solutions Limited were some of the first names to be welcomed onto the stage. Ravi Sandhu, in attendance with ISL company director James Smallman said: “I’ve known Saj for seven years and have watched him grow his business and expand his portfolio of services to where it is now. We at ISL digital are fully supportive of Capital Business Hub and the opportunity that it presents. We endeavour to work together and let our businesses compliment each-other.” Youth-worker Zafran Mohammed also gave a speech. Zaf is a community hero and aids young people in the local area in staying away from gang and knife violence. He helps them to find their feet by getting them back into education and valuable community projects. Zaf was kind enough to bring his entire football team to the CBH event, in order to set an example for them in becoming well-integrated and respectful members of the community. They key-note speaker of the event was Kul Mahay from Ignite Your Potential, who gave an amazing speech encouraging the audience to break through their business related fears and learn the strategies in order to create powerful entrepreneurial goals.
As the evening progressed, guests witnessed live entertainment, including a breath-taking violinist performance and a live DJ. They were served a 3-course gourmet style buffet to their tables and left the venue with their own personalised CBH complementary goodie bags- the perfect marketing start-up tool for any business!
The 2018 networking event was a huge success, and Asian World Newspaper looks forward to seeing what CBH have in-store next for the business community.
